Allison Green was born in Philadelphia and grew up in a nearby rural suburb. Throughout her childhood, Green lived on the periphery of a lush forest, an experience which has greatly impacted the art she is best known for today. Green currently lives in Jersey City and holds a studio at Mana Contemporary. Her work is represented by Susan Eley Fine Art in New York City, where she has had four solo exhibitions. Online and print publications featuring Green’s work include VICE Creators, Hi-Fructose, Artsy Editorial and ARTnews magazine. Allison’s paintings are included in the Brooklyn Museum Elizabeth Sackler Feminist Art Base.
Green holds a BA from the University of Maryland with a concentration in Fine Art and Women’s Studies. She studied at Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence, Italy in 1995.
