Room #869
Margaret Roleke
Easton CT

A major theme Margaret Roleke’s work is gun violence. She uses spent shotgun shells and brass, as well as paper targets in much of her work. At a distance the viewer is not sure what the colorful spent shotgun pieces are made of, only on closer examination does one realize what they actually are.

Environmental plastic waste is also an issue she explores in her work.

A percentage of all sales are donated to organizations that work for gun control.
