Oxana Kovalchuk is a New Jersey based Russian artist, working with a variety of media, including collages, photography, assemblages and sculptures. Her works explore the ideas of perceptions of reality, emotional components and memory feature.

Kovalchuk was born and raised in Kazakhstan. She moved to Russia for education and received her Bachelor of Psychology degree in Omsk State University. She received her MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City.

These are multi-layered glass collages. In this work, I display new realities that do not always reflect what truly happened. My 3D reality builds a visual effect, where the highlights are constantly changing. The present in this work is interspersed with the past, and real events are unseparated from the fantasy.
