Showcase 14C artist 2022, 2023
Wendy Letven was the Judge’s Choice winner at the 5th Edtion of Art Fair 14C.
Wendy Letven is a multidisciplinary artist working in sculpture and painting. Her lyrical constructions call to mind a collision of natural phenomena with human made, geometric structure. They are like paintings in space that cast shadows upon the wall, blurring the boundary between the material and the ethereal.
Receiving a 2023 Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, she is also currently working on a large permanent ceiling sculpture for the lobby of PS at Schermerhorn, funded by New York City’s Percent for Art program.
Her work is represented by K Imperial Fine Art in San Francisco, NL=US in The Netherlands and Beth Urdang in Massachusetts. Raised in Philadelphia, she received a BFA from Tyler School of Art and an MFA from Hunter College. Wendy teaches Art and Design at Parsons School of Design, is a MacDowell Colony Fellow and a recipient of a Workspace Grant from Dieu Donne Papermill in New York.
