Exhibition booths: Applications for exhibition booths and spaces are open to galleries, arts institutions and organizations, artists or artist groups or collectives from around the world – there are no geographic restrictions!

The 6th Edition will combine some of the best elements of previous fairs. We’re taking over the entire 4th floor of 150 Bay St (dedicated fair entrance on 1st Street) and exhibition spaces will occupy 22 large loft studio spaces that range in size from 877 sq ft (approx 81.5 sq m) to 1504 sq ft (approx 140 sq m).

The uniqueness of the floorplan of the venue means that exhibition prices vary widely – from a single wall for $500 to an entire 1504 sq ft (140 sq meters) loft studio for $21,588. Because of our nonprofit mission to strength careers in the arts and increase public access to fine art, Art Fair 14C’s prices are significantly lower than other art fairs. 

Exhibitors can take an entire studio space – or the studios can be divided into small, medium and large exhibition spaces. Exhibitors who take an entire studio have the option of having day beds in the space, which can be used as accommodation overnight, saving extra hotel costs. Each loft studio has two private bathrooms and a kitchenette.

Please note – each of the 22 loft studios has unique characteristics, even though some of them share a similar footprint. The building is on the national historic registry and was formerly the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Warehouse. The floors are polished concrete and the ceiling height is approximately 12′ (3.66 m), with various industrial ducts and pipes.

We are offering small, medium, large and extra-large booth/exhibition spaces, and because of the quirkiness of the floorplan, each will be slightly different in size and configuration. In the application you can choose a size and the range of prices for that size, but the exact booth price and configuration will be determined after acceptance and assignment.

Prices are determined based on both linear feet of wall space and square footage of open space. Not all square footage is equal – the main open area of each loft space is valued more highly than the area near the kitchenette and bathroom.  Existing walls are 12′ in height while temporary exhibition walls are 8′ in height.

We will work with each accepted exhibitor to give them a specific and unique exhibition area and appropriate price. 

Application fee is $90.

Deadline for early acceptance is 11:59pm ET on Monday, February 3, 2025. 

The Showcase:

The Showcase for NJ-based artists returns for the 6th year – and as always, there will be a new panel of expert judges from outside of the state.  The judging panel will accept up to 35 artists, all of whom must either live or have a studio in the state of New Jersey.  The panel will be selecting artists, not specific artworks – chosen artists will work with Art Fair 14C to determine the artwork for exhibition.

Installation:

This is a new category for Art Fair 14C – but the venue has many quirky elements and spaces, from niches to a laundry room, and we are pleased to consider proposals for installations.

Application fee is $25. Upon acceptance, the installation space at Art Fair 14C will be provided at no cost.
