The Showcase
The Showcase
The Showcase has always been at the core of Art Fair 14C, a special exhibition for artists who are based in New Jersey.
Any artist who lives or has a studio in New Jersey is eligible. Selected artists are given exhibition space at Art Fair 14C at no cost.
Artists may apply for The Showcase as well as an Exhibition booth and an Installation, but if selected in more than one category, the artist must choose only one.

FAQs
What is the difference between an Exhibition Booth and The Showcase?
Exhibition booths are open to all – galleries, arts organizations, artists, artist collectives – from around the world. The Showcase is restricted to individual artists who live or have a studio in the state of New Jersey.
Artists chosen for The Showcase do not pay for their exhibition space at Art Fair 14C, but the space they are given is smaller than the booths. Showcase artists work with Art Fair 14C to determine what work is shown during the fair, and 14C processes the Showcase art sales and retains a 40% of the sale price. Showcase artists do not have to be present during the open hours of the fair.
Artists who choose to pay to exhibit in a booth have control of their space and the artwork within it, retaining 100% of the sales and have a greater opportunity to interact with the public, including collectors, curators and arts professionals.
What kind of work is considered for The Showcase? Is there a size limit for artwork?
All forms of visual art are considered. If you are submitting a video it has to be via URL rather than direct upload. The size of the work you upload in the application isn’t a consideration. The judging panel will be selecting artists, not specific works of art. Art Fair 14C will do studio visits and work with the chosen artists to determine which work is exhibited at the fair.
Can I apply to both The Showcase and for an exhibition booth?
Yes, you can. If you are selected for both Showcase and Exhibition Booth (this happens each year to a handful of artists) you must choose one or the other. Art Fair 14C staff can help discuss the pros and cons of each option.
