The Juried Show
OVERVIEW
A unique element of Art Fair 14C’s programming is The Juried Show, which provides an art fair showcase for individual artists, giving them greater exposure to collectors, galleries and museums.
At ART NOW FAIR SALT LAKE, The Juried Show is open to artists who live, or have a studio, in the state of Utah.
Artists selected for The Juried Show will have their work exhibited at ART NOW FAIR in April 2022.
There are additional exhibition and residency opportunties for Juried Show artists throughout the year, including the 4th Edition of Art Fair 14C in Jersey City in November.
Our strong preference is for artwork that is available for sale, but it is not a requirement for The Juried Show. Art Fair 14C takes a 30% commission on all sales from The Juried Show during the week of the fair.
The Art Fair 14C team is in Utah in January 2022 (primarily in the Salt Lake City area) – if you would like to sign up for a gallery or studio visit, please click here.

FAQs
Q. What kind of artwork would be accepted?
We are open to all forms of visual art – painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media and video.
It must be original work and the artist applying must hold all rights to it.
Q. Is there a fee to apply?
Yes – although we are a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the visual arts, we do need to have an application fee to cover the costs of the application software and the honoraria for our judges.
The application fee is $25 for the Juried Show. Applicants who are not accepted will receive four complimentary tickets to ART NOW FAIR.
Q. What happens if I am selected?
Artists who are rated highly by our judging panel and selected for the Juried Show will be notified of that selection by March 1.
Those artists will then work with 14C’s Executive Director Robinson Holloway and Deputy Director and Juried Show Liaison Kristin DeAngelis to select artwork for exhibition in Art Fair 14C’s booth at ART NOW FAIR SALT LAKE.
Although this is the 1st Juried Show for Utah artists, we have had three Juried Shows for New Jersey artists, and in each case there have been ripple effects beyond the week of the art fair – artists have gotten gallery representation, museum acquisitions, commissions and exhibition opportunities.
Art Fair 14C also offers exhibition, residency and other opportunties to Juried Show members between fairs.
Some Utah Juried Show artists will be exhibited in a booth at the 4th Edition of Art Fair 14C in November 2022 at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City.
Q. Is an artist selected for the Juried Show, or are specific works selected?
Our judges will be selecting artists overall rather than specific works of art. The chosen artists will then work with the Art Fair 14C team to curate the work shown at the fair.
Q. Aside from the $25 application fee, are there any other fees or costs associated with being in the Juried Show?
We do not charge any other fees, though we do take 30% of any Juried Show sales made during the art fair. The only other costs that might be incurred are if the artwork is shipped by the artists to the fair rather than delivered directly.
There are benefits beyond the fair for our Juried Show artists – Art Fair 14C works throughout the year to help Juried artists with further exhibitions and opportunities.
Q. What is the link to apply?
The link to apply is artfair14c.awardsplatform.com/
