Residency for an EMERGING artist
Part of the mission of Art Fair 14C is to expand opportunities for artists, and amplify new voices. Our emerging artist residency offers a 6-month opportunity for an artist who has recently graduated with an MFA.

Art Fair 14C is pleased to offer an annual 6-month residency at Art 150 to an artist who is a recent MFA graduate.
The residency will run from July 1st through December 31st each year. The chosen artist will have access to a 400 sq ft artist’s studio at Art 150 in Jersey City, NJ.
The residency does NOT include housing, transportation or meals, so applicants must either have or provide their own housing in or near Jersey City. Art 150 is located at 150 Bay Street in downtown Jersey City, two blocks from the Grove Street PATH station.
The artist will receive a stipend of up to $1000 for art supplies and will be given the opportunity to exhibit their work at Art 150 and at Art Fair 14C.
The resident artist will receive consultations and mentorship from the directors of Art Fair14C and other relevant arts professionals, providing critical conversation around artwork as well as guidance on development and ideation.
To be eligible for the 2021 residency, artists must be at least 18 years old, must work in the visual arts, must have received an MFA from an accredited institution in 2020 or 2021, and must be able to provide their own transportation to Art 150.
